We started the day by visiting the Wedding Church at Cana. Underneath the church is a 1st Century home. They have many artifacts as well as a clay jar that would have been the size and style Jesus directed the servants to fill with water before he performed his first public miracle.

We left the church and started out on the Jesus trail headed to Arbel. We experienced amazing landscapes and some amazing teaching from Mark Moore along the way. In one location we grabbed some wheat stalks and pulled the wheat out and ate it, just like the disciples did.

On the journey we reached the Horns of Hattin where the Crusaders lost the battle to Muslim forces. It was on this trail I saw my first view of the Sea of Galilee. The views on top where epic. Two of the scholars on the trip began discussing if this mountain could have been the place where Jesus gave the Great Commission. Matthew records in 28:16 that his disciples were to meet him on the mountain after his death. Wow, what a moment for me. So far, this was the best part of the trip.

As we came down the mountain, there were great views of Arbel. We also visited the ruins of a 4th Century tabernacle before ending at the Holiday Homes guest house in Arbel.
